Guest speaker former Featherweight boxer Ruben Castillo with record of 69 wins 37 KOs 10 losses 2 draws. After retiring from boxing he became a broadcaster center with members.
Sept. 29, 2021:
A home of a student at El Monte High School recently caught fire. The fire caused major damage to the house displacing the family. During the fire the student and his family lost their personal belongings including their clothes. The ElMonteans presented a check to provide financial assistance to the Aragonez family.

The Elmonteans donation will help Jasmine Leyva (left center) a sophomore at South El Monte High School. She is student athlete and has a 4.2 GPA. She has been invited to workout with University of Texas Longhorns. Liam Leyva (center9, tball for West Covina and trying to earn money to buy a concussion proof football helmet.
The Elmonteans provided families of our community Holiday food gift cards from local markerts.

The Veterans and Families Seeds of Hope VFSH is a group of dedicated community members driven by a shared commitment: to honor and support our veterans. Together, we embark on a mission to secure crucial donations that will make a tangible difference in the lives of those who have bravely served our country.
Ways to contribute
Donate food and/or clothing items (socks and/or underwear, t-shirts, new packaged items only), Personal Hygiene Items (deodorant, shaving cream, soap, toothpaste, shampoo etc). Paper Goods Cleaning Supplies, Gift cards (Smart and Final, 99 Cent Stores/Dollar Tree, local fast-food eateries, Sam's Club).

Elmonteans invites the community to the Seeds of Hope for Veterans charity baseball game, featuring a matchup between the El Monte Police Department and the Ontario Police Department. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at Arroyo High School (4921 Cedar Ave.) enter from Kings Row. All proceeds will support stable housing for veterans.
