ELMONTEANS
ELMONTEANS
Mission Statement / Philosophy
The mission of the ELMONTEANS is to strengthen the El Monte and South El Monte communities through effective philanthropic and civic engagement. The ELMONTEANS provide financial support to deserving El Monte and South El Monte families, area youth and organizations within geographic boundaries of El Monte Union High School District. The ELMONTEANS respond to those needs without fanfare, "red tape" and without regard to political affiliation.
History
Where the Past Meets the Future
On August 10, 2012, the first meeting of what would become The ELMONTEANS was held at El Sombrero Restaurant. Those in attendance came together with a shared purpose after recognizing a need to support youth, families, and local organizations within the El Monte Union High School District community.
That evening marked the beginning of a commitment to give back through philanthropy, guided by one simple but powerful rule: 100% of the money raised through dues would stay within the boundaries of the El Monte Union High School District.
Since that first meeting, and thanks to the continued generosity and dedication of our members, The Elmonteans are proud to have donated $78,216.00 directly back into our community.
Our mission remains the same today as it was then—an ongoing, non-political vision focused on providing meaningful aid to the people and organizations that make El Monte Union High School District community strong. Together, we continue to step in, step up, and give back to the community we call home.
