Mission Statement / Philosophy
The mission of the ELMONTEANS is to strengthen the El Monte and South El Monte communities through effective philanthropic and civic engagement. The ELMONTEANS provide financial support to deserving El Monte and South El Monte families, area youth and organizations within geographic boundaries of El Monte Union High School District. The ELMONTEANS respond to those needs without fanfare, "red tape" and without regard to political affiliation.
History
Where the Past Meets the Future
On August 10, 2012, the fist meeting of what would become the Elmonteans was held at El Sombrero Restaurant. Those present were there that evening because they saw a need to support youth, families, and organizations in the El Monte Community. Those present wanted to help by providing philanthropy to this area. The people there chose to step in and step up with one simple rule: The money raised by dues, 100%, would stay within the boundaries of the El Monte Union High School District. The ongoing non political vision, is to provide aid to the people and organizations in the El Monte Community.
